Serene cup of tea representing rest and healing from therapy for anxiety, overthinking and relationship issues

You’re tired.

You’re tired of wanting to feel better, and not feeling better. You’re tired of questioning every decision you make. You’re tired of worry overcoming you whenever you want to try something new or different.

You’re tired of worrying about other people’s moods to keep things on an even keel. You’re tired of that aching feeling of not feeling good enough.

You’re tired of moving on from disagreements and pretending that everything is okay. You’re tired of feeling alone even in a relationship.

You may feel so tired that you’re wondering whether therapy is just another thing to add to your to-do list.

Therapy is a time for YOU.

A time to slow down with what is going on inside-- what others cannot see, and you feel so often-- and gain clarity about it.

Therapy can help you to:

  • Feel your way through overwhelming feelings and understand feelings as information for you

  • Treat yourself like you would treat a friend

  • Trust yourself to live the life you want

  • Cultivate emotional intimacy in your relationships

Working with Michele

In my role as therapist, I am here to help ease the path for you. Together we’ll navigate through all the harder to feel feelings in an embodied way that transforms how you relate to your emotions, yourself and others. Therapy is an opportunity to deeply know oneself as an integrated whole. I believe the journey of self reconnects you to yourself, others, and the world with more compassion, ease, and balance.

As your therapist, I am committed to my own ongoing journey of self through personal and professional therapeutic learning. I work from an intersectional lens and am mindful of the ways sociocultural identities- race, class, gender, sexuality, ability inform a person's unique lived experience. I know first hand that the therapeutic process can be difficult and fulfilling at the same time. All these learnings let me know that it is possible to feel different from the inside out. You can reclaim inner peace.

My Approach to Therapy

I offer an affirming (all of YOUR story is important), open-minded (I’m not here to judge, I’m here to foster understanding), and inquisitive (asking questions to help get to the root of things) perspective.

A compassionate mind-body lens:

Once clients have a cognitive understanding of what they want to change, it can still be challenging to change. Incorporating both the mind and body creates a path from your nervous system that lets us get to the root of why it is challenging to change.

I will stay with your experience and meet you where you are at, and keep taking steps closer to YOU. We will slow down and appropriately move through the impact of adverse experiences, and get to the other side of core beliefs holding YOU back. We will release burdens and limiting thoughts, and reconnect with your self-trust and confidence in navigating life’s difficulties.
